Hiya!
Please can you help me on a few things.
I want to put my cds in ogg vorbis at 64Kbps.
I want to use CDDB (or similar) to save having to type in the names of songs and for IDV tags.

So I got FreeRip (latest version) and installed it. It does everything I want except the ogg quality settings don't work right. I want to use VBR as I belive this is recommended for ogg. It i select 64Kbps (average), it does about 200Kbps nominal bitrate! So I selected 16Kbps and it did 72 Kbps nominal. I can't get 64Kbps and the quality selection is totally messed up!
Size is important (I use an SD card in my palm) so I do want 64kbps.
I tried with nero and an ogg plugin. This gives quality setting, so i use 0 which gives 64Kbps nominal which is great! BUT the CDDB does not put IDV tag on the oggs, just puts the song names in the file name.

Please help! All I want is 64Kbps with IDV CDDB tags!
So near yet so far.....
Thanks!

P.s. Both nero and FreeRip use this:
Xiph.Org libVorbis I 20020717
but Ogg drop XP uses:
Xiph.Org libVorbis I 20030308
which is obviastly newer. Is the newer one sound better? How can I put the latest libVorbis in FreeRip or Nero?
Thanks!
Peter
