Hello,

I usually rip my cd's with one big file, and then use split wav by cue sheet (with gaps). The output is always "Track - Title"

I then usually rename the files like this "Artist - Album - Track - Title"

Is their anyway i can get EAC to do this in the first place when i split the wav?

Thanks

The question has already shown up in this thread.

I ran accross the same problem when I was converting CDs with EAC to an image but EAC would only output Track-Title plus you could not add tags to it. If you follow the link over to Case's webpage you find his great little program wapet which solves this.

Now the question to you is what are you trying to get as the end result? Do you want to keep the CD wav file?, or just to cut it up to encode or just keep them as wav files?

Well, in the end i have seperate .flac files. I have it that i can decode them to .wav and reburn the exact layout. I was having a problem getting the "Multiple WAV files with gaps (Noncompliant)" CUESHeet to burn the correct layout. So now i use the "Cutted" CUESheet that is made when i split the .wav file. This file seems to work fine, with the other CUESheet i was getting a loss on the last track for some reason...

I also like to RIP by Image cause it goes faster. But that's just a time saver.

Sorry about the link - Case's page is a little hard to link to a particular page;

Go into the [Misc] page and then the : Simple guide for setting compression with tagging in EAC

You will see how to integrate wapet into EAC to rip the CD into individual tracks that are encoded with flac

You didn't mention if you want to keep the CD image wav file, If you know script writing you can pretty much automate the whole process
