Is there any problem if I install various CD Burning Softwares?
I have Nero, CDRWin and CloneCD installed.
I want to try Feurio and Burn at Once...
Is there any conflict if I have them all installed?

Thanks,

Shouldn't be, usually only conflicts arise with UDF burning programs like InCD.

Have to disagree, some programs use the same files(dlls, etc) to run properly. Some programs will ask to be associated with certain file types. This aspect can confuse the o\s. This is only from my experiance with different programs on my system. Hope this helps wink.gif

Yes, bad programs install shit in the system, but well made programs like Feurio are perfectly clean:

There will be no conflict due to Feurio, everything is in its folder (you can copy the folder from another computer and it will work without installing).
Burnatonce needs to be installed if you reinstall Windows, because it installs at least a file in the Windows folder: nothing dangerous at all I guess (I seem to see a DLL during installation). Jamie can answer this, but I install burnatonce with no fear. Good program.

CDRWin is another clean program if you don't install its own ASPI drivers.
Nero installs "nerocheck.exe" (and a VXD driver in old versions).
CloneCD is worse. I remember that I couldn't run my system if I deleted one of its drivers (probably regarding the virtual drive).

You probably mean the VB runtime files, which are needed to run software created in Visual Basic.

Btw. ehm... Burrrn doesn't install any files, it doesn't even have an installer wink.gif

Took very much the same route muaddid and had all of them installed at one point without trouble.

Eventually ended up getting rid of everything EXCEPT Feurio and Burnatonce. Between them they do everything I need and do it very well.

I use CDRDAO-based Progs (like CDRWin, BurnAtOnce, VCD Easy and burrrn) along with Feurio, Nero, Alcohol 120% & CloneCD without any problems ... the only thing that I always take a look at is that no burning app has any resident program parts loaded up on start-up.

BTW: I do not use packet-writing at all

BTW2: Nero does not cooperate very well with either Easy CD Creator or WinOnCD ... from my experience, at least

Thanks a lot for all the replies. I will try them both.

BTW: JeanLuc mentioned Alcohol 120%, I read some good reviews about this program. What do you guys think about it?

BTW2: I have no intention to install either Easy CD Creator or WinOnCD. wink.gif

AFAIK, the Nero versus Easy CD Creator conflicts were resolved in windows xp
