Maybe I couldn't explain myself in a good way in english (this is kinda happening more often to me).
Since the beginning DVD-R have been two discs, that's why it is not possible to compare them to CD-R in terms of durability and resilience. They could last longer (likely) or they could die faster.
We have seen how misleading the calculations of CD-R "life" were.
On topic, I am guessing that DVD life will be diminished on this dual-layer recordables.
