Hi John,

Only a minor bugfix or any significant changes?
Still based on source code before LAME 3.9x?

        GOGO-no-coda ver. 3.12 for Windows, Linux and OS/2

                                                updated Oct. 2, 2003
* ABSTRACT

  This software is a mp3 encoder based on LAME3.88,
  which is optimized for Enhanced 3D Now!/SSE/SSE2 and dual-CPUs.

* DIFFERENCE FROM GOGO2

  The encoding quality of `gogo 3x -nopsy` is same or a little better, and
  moreover faster than that of `gogo 2x without -nopsy.`
  gogo 3x always uses psycho-acoustic model in spite of options.

OK, the current compile requires PIII, or better. I'll post a compile for PII later.

Great to hear! Thanks John33 for posting compiles. I love using Gogo to convert to MP3 for my portable. The speed is excellent, and the quality is acceptable. wink.gif

OK, as promised, you can d/l a P2 compile from here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jfe1205/gogo312P2.zip

Can you let me know if it's OK, please? wink.gif

Sadly, gogo.exe does not cooperate with my version of Foobar2000. Hmmm . . .

By the way I'm doing some ABX-ing here comparing Gogo with LAME --aps cbr 128, and at least in the first few seconds of the song, during the swooooshhhhhhhh of Broken Heart, LAME --alt-preset cbr 128 loses out significantly to gogo -b 128. Very, very unforeseen result . . .

Gogo.exe works fine rolleyes.gif , but Gogo.dll crashed again...
I tested Gogo.exe in EAC, and the .dll in AudioGogo (http://interdarekb.webpark.pl/english/)

Well of course Gogo.exe works beautifully on my P4 . . . .
