First of all, I want to apologize everybody here in HA.org and all the people who read (voted) on my last poll (about audio cd burners), for all the errors I made, like not to include EAC in the poll, that "Burn At One" thing, etc...

It has like a week since I made that poll, and found out, most people uses Nero, and BAO (Burnatonce, sorry for that "Burn At One" ok?), Feurio! and others...

But this post is for the people who actually uses Nero 6 (like me tongue.gif ). I've seen so much things people want Nero to have, and not to have. So, this poll It's to find out, what are the Nero's features people like?, and which of them people dislike?.

This going to help users to find out what are the pros and cons about it. And BTW, I'll try, with friends, to make this post to be read by the Ahead's people, what do you think?, just to make Nero better...

So here's my opinion

---

I use Nero 6 beacuse It's a stable way to burn my cds (audio comp. and data), It has a built in AAC encoder, It's not that bigger (like Easy CD & DVD Creator 6), etc...

I don't like:

1. The fact we should download packets file, when we just want to use the Nero Burning Rom, I've never touched anything else, cause I'm ok with NBR.

2. The fact that AAC UI doesn't remind my settings.

3. It's slower than Nero 5. I'd rather it has less "beauty" things than the 5 version. Sometimes It lags! ohmy.gif

4. I don't like the erase CD-RW option, I prefer to use other programs to do that.

5. Etc...

---

So, what do you think?, post your message, and let Ahead see what do the people who used their program wants.

Thanks to everybody, I think this is the best site on the WWW, keep doing that grat work HA.org!

Peace out.

Hello Maddivx. Personally I no longer use nero. Same as you I became annoyed with the regular updating that is required. Also (as far as I'm aware) nero does not have a checksum writing facility, which I consider essential if you are wanting to know your data has been written correctly, and is still exactly the same after the passing of time.

The 'verify data after burning' seems to create a temporary checksum that will not allow you to re-verify in the future.

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this score.

Burnatonce satisfies my burning needs completely and it is free (donation seriously being considered). If you have a problem and register at their forum, they will do everything they can to help. I can't see me going back to nero any time soon....

EDIT

Also, although I appreciate what you are trying to do, I am sure Ahead would take more notice of your complaints if you contacted them directly. Anyway, lets see what others have to say about what you have said.

Man, I agree with you too, I'd really like to give Burnatonce a try, to see if It's that good.

Can you contact me (if you can, by icq would be nice), to chat about BAO?. So, what do you say? ph34r.gif
