Thanks! It seems though the download links are not working.

Seems SourceForge is slow with updating the files... For now, you can use the Project Page to download:

Is anyone else having problems contacting any sourceforge pages? I can't tell if it's my school's firewall blocking it or if the site is down.

No problem for me smile.gif

A question: do you plan to include support for .zip and .rar archives?

Good work!

Are .cue files going to be supported?

Umm... is there some problem with accessing music files on a shared network drive? I just installed the latest 2.92 version, and added my mapped network drive that contains all my music, using the Add Volume function. When I try to send items to foobar2000 0.7 (enque or play), I get an error:

Can not find the source of the selected item

Drive label: "Jukebox"

Drive serial: FFFFFFFFDC7968A5

Of course, it could be because I'm a n00b and haven't used MAC before, and I'm doing something wrong... or am I? My whole collection is visible in MAC, so it found the music files.

I used the same Add Volume function to add files from my local machine, and that works, no problem.

I'd like ZIP, RAR, MP4 (M4A) support too. =)

Also correctly opening files would be nice. For example, even though "Play" is the default explorer action, MAC will always use "Open." Enqueue doesn't work as well when the action is called "Add to playlist..." etc. Maybe this should be made an option to set up for each file type.

what about CDDA support ?

u know, the simple CD...

Great job as alway B)

The most important feature in my case (and M's I suppose), that would be great if implemented, is the ability to read .txt (or better say...any kind of text, regardless the extension) and import them into the library.

Also, since you now allow the inclusion of any kind of files, it would be great if the statistics showed how many of each kind you have.

Foobar is gaining so much functionality that MAC, although a superb program, would be far more useful as a fb2k plugin, which could then use foobars input/output/tagging capability.

Thanks Gambit.
Wonderful program.

The version found at the homepage (mac.sourceforge.net) seems too be broken. Tried download it twice, via browser and wget. The version at the project page works though.

This has been a fantastic catalog program for so long, I'm very happy to see that it now has a team working on it. I've been using it for over 2 years now, and I can't find a better digital music catalog program, especially for those of us with plenty of CD-Rs but little hard drives!

hmm, I get constantly an error message "Integer overflow" , after I loaded my col file, of my previous 2.90 mac collection.

In old 2.90, it works fine.
Maybe, because I shared the col file in a network, and another program has access to it ?

well, I copied the file to another directory, not shared by anotehr program.

Then I loaded this col file into new 2.92, but got integer overflow again.
any solutions possible ?
I would like the new flac support etc, really !

I got the same error with the previous version, this one works fine to me.
user
just tried,
and opened, created a new col file, a new collection, by inserting a DVD+R full of flac and mpc albums.

This new collection works fine in new 2.92.
So, how could I transport my old 2.90 collection, col file, to new 2.92 ?
(without the odd inserting all Cds again...)

hmm, has the new 2.92 a restriction to size of colelction, number of files, albums ?
user
I have just tried to send my col file by email to : macteam at users . sourceforge.net

as told in the FAQ (send your col file, if it causes error messages, we try to fix it).
Unfortunately, it was not delivered, the email has a size of 2618 kb, 2.6 MB.

maybe it is my email account, or can you send me an email address, which is able to receive my big col file ?
my address: gigo-fern at gmx . net

I can upload your col file somewhere into a webspace and send by email the link smile.gif
user
it would be fine, if a dev reads this here, too, and gets to know, where the col file is located. And to which address can i send now the big col file ?, or where to upload ?

Compress it with WinRAR/ZIP or 7z and send it to: mdati00 AT student vxu se

I will put it online and send it to the dev-mailinglist
user
I will do so, thanks in advance.
have done.

This app is great! biggrin.gif
I use it a long time.... its very fast.

Some visual sugestions:
- An option to put Text Labels of icons below of icons in toolbar;
- Remove the ugly image in background of the Toolbar and make all icons skinable;
- An option to put cover art of full albuns in the collection.

Thanks for this great app! smile.gif

Your .col file is somewhat corrupted; some functions that expects valid data chokes and throws the error...

But it's now fixed! It will be in the next release, in the meantime you can try this compile.
user
I tried this new 2.92 2003-11-16 compile,
it works with my old big col file in generally.

But there is another difference to 2.92 normal (2003-10-05):
A certain DVD full of mpc albums is not accepted by mac.exe 2.92 2003-11-16 (results to "range check error"), but it is accepted by normal 2.92.

accepted means: adding the medium to collection.
Other DVds full of mpcs are accepted by the new testcompile
user
well, I
have found the reason, why my big old CD/mp3/mpc colelction built by mac 2.90, is screwed up..

There are 2 different 2.90 versions, unfortunately I used for a long time, the older/wrong one.

2.90 mac.exe dated from: 2002-04-30 (size 375.808)
(which is screwed up, produces the errors, if col file is used in any other newer version besides the experimetal verison mac.exe 2.92 2003-11-16 made for me)

2.90 mac.exe dated from: 2002-11-04 (size 385.536)
this version has problems with the col file created by the older version, too.

Can't wait for the brand new version that will hopefully add text importing along other things... wink.gif

Hope it won't take too long!

It's been over 2 months now since the last version...I do hope that we'll see signs of progress sometime soon wink.gif
