A little request: under the popup window, over the song title and album stuff, the right clicking there should allow to copy those strings into the clipboard, so we'd have fast "copy song name" engine

I have a suggestion:

Under "Customize Toolbar" seperate the reset and the close buttons more from each other, or make one more distinct from the other. Something like this:



Or a confirmation dialogue would work too. That might be too much for just a small config though... Just something to keep me from reseting my buttons everytime I want to close that window!

I get this error where it only displays the first song on my playlist over and over again!

the icons seem to be misaligned aligned when the taskbar is placed at the top. the icons hug the top of the taskbar as opposed to being vertically centered on the taskbar. but that is a minor problem, this is a great plugin thanx for sharing with us.

The problem is in window themes. Some themes display buttons correctly.
You can try to change 'Windows XP Theme' in options (it sometimes fix it).

If you don't beleive me, I can send you a screenshot with correctly aligned icons

BTW I prepare an alternative user interface with some advantages against the original one. This is not skinable thing or so (there is foo_looks of cource), but it integrates Explorer for easier playlist building, it would support directly some components (skip to next album etc.), it enhances drag&drop ops....

I'm using your plugin (great job, BTW) v1.1.0.7 so perhaps this is the wrong thread...

Anyway, it works fine but I see one minor bug.

When I mouse over tbar, I can click on the progress bar of the currently playing song. If I click "forward" (part of the song to be played) it correctly updates the bar, not so when I click "backward" (part of the song already played).

Sorry, my English is not so good: I hope I have explained myself clearly.

ah i see what you mean, you're right that is only for some themes.

can i make a suggestion to use any size PNGs for the icons? so that way for some themes that do misalign them, people can make the icons taller or shorter to adjust to the size of the taskbar.

this is a great plugin, can't wait for more updates. i don't even look at the foobar main window anymore.

just a question :
When right clicking on a playlist,i see add files,add dir etc.... but i don t see remove file. i can clear the whole playlist but is there a way to only remove one file from a playlist. It s not a great concern,i do it in the main foobar window, but it could be useful.

sorry if my question seems stupid,maybe it can be done easily but i just installed foobar(v0.7.1) and foo_remote(v1.1.0.7) today

oh ,one last thing, i wanted to move the foo remote toolbar in top of my screen. the first time the button did not work anymore and playlist was empty....
I closed the toolbar,re open it,but it opened in the main windows toolbar by default i guess so when i drag the toolbar on top again,the buttons did not work anymore....I succeeded to bypass it.i "right clicked" on the main windows toolbar,added a links toolbar, moved it on top,then i "right clicked" on this new toolbar,added the foo remote toolbar in it,then i closed the links toolbar ,leaving the foo remote toolbar all alone on top. all that to say that moving the foo remote toolbar in another position on the desktop is a real pain. Not great concern either, as i succeed to bypass the problem but is there s a way to fix it, in next release maybe?

Nice Plugin. Tried it for several days now and i think you convinced another Winamp Fanboy to switch. This thing should be integreated in the next release!

But i seem to have a problem here. I saw these screenshots and they showed the playlists. My display does only show the tabs.

How can i view the playlist within in the display? (im using 1.1.0.7)

Im was trying to add the playlist for some time now and couldn' figure it out with no luck and decide to ost my problem.

After this i decide to give it one more try and bang... i did it. (i didn't know i can resize the baby...)

Yesterday I discovered that you can drag the playlist anywere you want to.
As long as you keep your mouse cursor on the playlist it will not disapear.

I wish you could "pin down" the playlist/tab so it stays in sight. B)

[Problem]: Cursor sticking

I believe I've isolated a problem to tbar_foo. The problem is that when I go to minimize a window, any window, by moving the cursor to the minimize button with the mouse and then I click the minimize button, the cursor is frozen at that position and I cannot move it with the mouse until the window is minimized. The same thing happens when I maximize: the cursor remains frozen on the program button on the taskbar until the window is maximized. What should normally happen, of course, is that I should be able to move the cursor immediately after clicking the minimize button.

This problem seems to occur only when tbar_foo has been placed onto the taskbar and is independent of whether foobar2000 is running. If I Close Toolbar on tbar_foo and then Log Out of Windows and return, the cursor sticking problem is gone. If I add the Foobar2000 Controls item onto the toolbar, the problem reappears.

Almost, eversor, almost.

What I mean is that the playlist stay's visible even when I don't hold my mouse cursor over it. To put it differently; the playlist does not slide out of sight but stay's visible permanently.

Thanks for the tip though. The more I use this plugin the more I like it.

How do I enable the skin (that is, those nice PNGs in tbar_foo_skin folder)? Or is it a WinXP-only feature?

It would be great if it was possible to turn off the playlist in tbar. I have a playlist of over 30,000 songs, and it seems to slow my system down at times.

It is not possible. I tried a lot of things to fix it, but there is something wrong in the styles on taskbar. The only think you can do is to change "Windows XP Theme" in options or get another windows theme. (It is oorrect in my theme 'WinNXPro' ) .

Is it possible to make the Order-button dynamically get the available orders instead of the hardcoded alternative? I use foo_shuffle but sadly enough I can't choose any of those orders directly in the toolbar...

Maybe add some options to manually set the colors of the "pop-up" aswell instead of using the Windows-colors (that could be the default but I'd prefer to set them myself).

Apart from that this plug-in kicks ass, I love it!

I use foobar yet a very long time, and one of the main reason for this is the tbar_foo plugin, which absolutely rocks! But now I tried to install foobar, the remote plugin and the tbar_foo plugin on my new notebook and I have an error, that I can't explain myself.

After installing everything (I tried it twice times now...but maybe I have wrong files, because today it seems a bit difficult for me to find the newest versions of the plugins..) I surely have the option in the right-click-menu of the taskbar, to activate the foobar controls - but when I click on it - it just happens nothing... It stays unmarked in the menu, too...

This is yet really bad, but it gets much stranger... Because sometimes (I hate this problem so much, that I have tried very often...), when the notebook is yet some hours working, and I try it again, it appears! (It happened three times now)... I can customize everything like I want to, and it works, too! Just fine, it's perfect... But after Booting...the taskbar seems resettet in a way, because not only, that the foobar-remotes disappear - but also my Folders, which I use to have on the taskbar (not open, but as symbol as kind of quick lunch by adding new symbol-lines in the taskbar-right-click-menu) disappear - and these normally survive a reboot...

What shall I do to get this problem fixed
