I've just released the version 1.0.7 of foo_remote and tbar_foo.
* version is displayed in options window bar
* drop operation activates a playlist if you drag over the tabs (allows drop fiels into specific playlist)
* minor fixes
see
steel_space homepage(sorry, no direct download possible)
Great Plugin. I have 2 requests the "Clear and add directory" option does not remember the last directory it used. Could you fix this?
Also could you give us the option to "pin down" the playlist so it stay's in site?
Nice component.
It will be better if I can change display fontsize.
Now, it is hard to read a Japanese character.

I'd like to use this plugin but I'm having a really hard time trying.

I have foo_remote 1.0.7 (it appears twice in Foobar's Found components list), fb2k v0.7.3 and Win2k pro SP4.
Every time I enable FooBar2000 Controls on my TaskBar, other tasks active in the systray are closed (conflicting?) and, almost immediately, fb2k hogs my cpu and I have to terminate it with task manager.
When FooBar2000 Controls are disabled (not visible on the taskbar) fb2k works like a charm.
Anybody out there successfully using this plugin with Windows2000? Perhaps I should change some system settings, but I don't know where to look.
TIA for your assistance.

I find that this plugin causes explorer.exe crashes. Anyone else find that? If I remove the control from my taskbar, the crashes stop.
foo_remove 1.0.7
foobar2000 0.7.4
Windows XP Home
Any info on the work of the new version. I know Steel Space is going to add a lot of improvements. Just curious
If there is to be a new version, I've got a request. I'm using winXP and have my taskbar positioned at the top of the screen. When using a visual style the popup display works as you'd expect (ie hanging down below the bar). But when the so-called 'classic windows' style for buttons etc is used (ie no visual style), there's no popup display for tbar_foo, no matter what options I try. Is this a known bug? Can it be fixed?
Whatever the case, much thanks for this indispensible foobar component

Great Plugin, thanks.
But one question, not a big thing, is it possible to change (not disable) the title (foo_winbar) of the toolbar? Someone at another Board asked this.
Thanks

I love this plugin and have been using it for close to a year now!
After a recent computer crash and reinstillation of Foobar, and tbar_foo, I have been having a problem with the pop-up display being one song behind. In other words it shows the last song played, and not the current song.
The only way it will show the current song, is for the current song to end, and the next song to begin, thus still being one song behind.
Anyone know how I can fix this?
I have tried deleting all the components I can find, and also deleted some registry keys, but that didn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! This is driving me nuts!
Thanks!

How do I activate foo_remote? I can't find any way to turn it on...the file is loaded....shows in component libaries.

AFAIK, foo_remote does not give you any additional commands in foobar2000 itself. It just provides a way for other programs to communicate with foobar2000, like tbar_foo. I think you should check out the original foo_remote thread on instructions how to install the two - or even better, the readme files that come with foo_remote.

- right click on taskbar

Hello,
I've installed version 1.0.7 and it works fine (except the fact which had already been mentioned).
But there is a little problem. The symbols in the taskbar are not in the middle.
I think, they have the right size. All other symbols in the taskbar are exactly in the middle. I've tried a lot of things but it looks still the same.
Can anybody help me?
best greetings

Hey, has anyone figured out how to fix this yet? I've just installed it for the first time and it does the same for me. Most of the time it just shows a question mark, when it does show a title, its of the last song played.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I didn't want to create a new thread so I put my question in this one:
Few days ago I've made clean install of WinXP + SP2. And since then I can't use this plugin. It installs flawlessly but when I check to show toolbar on the taskbar nothing happens

I suppose that this plugin needs some additional dll. But I don't know which one. Any ideas?
Bahh, the most important plugin for foobar has its homepage unavailable.

Anyone got an alternative download url?

It would be most appreciated.
