It would be sweet to be able to copy files directly to an MP3 CD, MP3 player, etc. directly from foobar. I have a nomad zen jukebox, that supports the sendto command in windows, basically a collection of shortcuts, and if you right click a file (in explorer) you can send the selected files/folders to one of the shortcuts. it would be sweet to be able to access this from foobar. hit my album list, add a bunch of stuff to the play list and send the files to my jukebox.

should be relativly easy to impliment i would assume, but i'm not a coder... even if you could just specify a shortcut or list of shortcuts it could be pulled off. I say short cuts cause then you can send it to a device rather than a folder.

thoughts?

Sounds like plugin material, I think you'd need to have support for _every_ device though, so you'd need to find protocol information on alot of devices, could be a very bloated plugin.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but maybe that's because I posted a very similar idea yesterday
Plugin request: "Copy files to...", make a copy at a desired location

Wouldn't this be the same thing as long as the MP3 player pops up as a storage device in windows? If not, I guess diskreet has a point.

argh, if yes then please as a plugin/option.

I remember the day when fb2k didn't use the registry at all and you could simply put it on a floppy disk. This has changed with the installer - but even more OS-integration?.... not for me smile.gif

ok, this thread is really missing my point... basically sendto in windows is like drgging files onto a shortcut. my idea was to emulate this, nothing more. have the option to send files to a shortcut, i didn't say zen/ipod/rio support, just the ability to send files to a shortcut. if the shortcut is a folder? sweet, they get copied, if it's a program then they get run, or proccessed, etc... nice and simple just like foobar...

os integration? not really...

Support to send files from foobar to my iPod? possibly, if you can drag them onto something in explorer, then it's possible.

support for every device? it's not a device plugin, so nothing would have to be supported. but if your device works in explorer, then bam it would work with this.

if you still dont under stand the sendto thing, right click on a file, and go to "send to" then have a look at the options. all of them are shortcuts.

here, Read this: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...&NoWebContent=1. Enjoy.

yeah, and furthermore, i'd like to have all the options available to me in explorer available in foobar: cut, copy, paste, delete, open in notepad...well, ok, guess i dont need that one, but you see what i mean. may be in foobars context menus there would be: "explorer" and all the usual explorer options (whatever you have installed on your windows) would be on a fly-out under that.

thanks to anyone who works on this and has made all the other cool plugs.
