This is only a curiosity, but why previous versions of F2k used a DOS style version numbering such as 0.586 0.666, 0.667, 0.7, and now it uses *NIX style versions like 0.7.1 and not 0.71 or 0.710?

Any hint Peter?

Sound quality is much better if you use *NIX style version numbering laugh.gif wink.gif

Seriously though, maybe Peter just decided to give a little additional love to the period key. happy.gif

He wantes to release 0.666( the number of the beast biggrin.gif) and so no bad luck stayed behind he made 0.667
Extensive develop time and large of number of features made a bump to next version needed 0.7
well just minor things and dsv2 so only minor change 0.7.1
Why the .1 instead of 0.71 ?

He's looking for more point releases before v1.0 giving him the option of branching out to v7.1.1! wink.gif
