Full Version: Problem ripping with dMC and EAC

I have a (big) problem. Whatever i've tried, i can't use EAC or dMC to rip audio cd's with, simply because none of the programs can find my dvd-rom, nor my cd-writer. The only choice i get when i try to run them, is my Stealth-DVD (Daemon-Tools), and this is a virtual drive, so i cant use it for much except mounting iso images.

My system:

XP2000+ with 512mb ddr on a asus a7n8x deluxe rev 2.0 motherboard.
PlexWriter 48x24x48x (internal)
NEC 5700B 40x/12x DVD-Rom

What's weird though, is that Nero, WMP9 and PlexTools Pro 2.07 finds the drives without no problem at all (so does Windows XP Pro SP1, ofcourse).

I really need EAC or dMC to work, as they are the only one's that pulls info from freedb and lets me control the encoding options myself (cant use lame -aps with PlexTools, nor Nero or ofcourse WMP9).

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Edit:

No need to answer, just found out that i had forgot a little (important) thing, to copy WNASPI32.DLL to the programs directories, and to the windows system directory, and that fixed the problem! doh!
