here's the crash-text when i wanted to use the CD Info Editor:

Hi there Zeo,

I saw your crash using CD Info Editor. I had the same crash up till now.
I d/l the latest version of Foobar 2000 v0.72

I then I downloaded the latest version of the CD Info Editor FB2k 0.7b31 which can be dowloaded here: CD Info Editor

It worked for me, unzip both .dll files into the components folder.

P.S. Make sure you don't have any firewalls running and you enable cdplayer.ini and freedb from the preferences menu...
