A friend sent me two images of demo CDs he has over ICQ. Problem is I'd like to make a mix CD, and I really don't feel like converting the two huge APE files to WAVs, motuning the CUE in Daemon Tools, and having to rip sepereate WAVs to individual WAVs with EAC, than convert to APE. Seems like a lot of work to just cut a file into pieces. I looked around here, but I can't seem to search for 3 character words, so cue, ape, and wav are all out. I've looked at makeAPL, but that just splits it up into to mini-short cut like files. Any way to cut this APE up into seperate files without a ton of conversion or should I just tell him I like the music and delete the files and forget about it?

you won't come around the extraction to .wav files...
the best way I found to extract single tracks from a large wav is using the foobar diskwriter, after feeding it with the .cue sheet
Use foobar2000 with
foo_monkey to create APEs of each track.

Cool, I'll have to give that a try, I know foobar will take the audio as is without converting it to WAV, so hopefully I can just toss the CUE into foobar, let it work it's magic and hopefully out will come a bunch of APEs. Handy if I want to email one or two tracks only to a friend to pass it on
