I uploaded my avatar a few weeks ago as a transparent png file, but a few days ago, I noticed that it was no longer transparent. I didn't say anything because I thought it might correct itself, but it hasn't.

Does anyone know why this has happened.

You must use a browser that supports transparent PNGs to see it.

Internet Explorer 6 doesn't do that, at least my configuration doesn't.

Your avatar displays OK in Opera and Firebird, though.

IC. I formatted my computer some days ago and havn't got around to installing mozilla yet

Hack-fixed. Inserted white bKGD chunk. At least it's nicer than gray.

Edit: Browsers with alpha transparency support should ignore the bKGD chunk, and display the alpha channel, while IE displays a white background color.
