Hello, i was wondering (i couldn't find anything using search) but is adding album art to your mp3's potentially hazardous (or at least problematic?)

I was thinking of doing so to my collection, but would like to know wether it has side effects at all?

Thank you in advance.

What did i do wrong? :'(

I wouldn't recommend it at all for the following reason:
- Lots of redundant data
- big ID3V2 tags
- possible player incompatibilities

A single jpg in the folder would do a much better job IMHO.

Agree with dev0 on all points. There are some stand alone programs that will let you see cover art. There was link somewhere in the forums but I do not recall where I had seen it.

There are also some programs that will link to a general cover art folder. Which, in my case, is how I do it. You can also link to art in artist folders.

Screen-shot. You may have other programs which work best for you. This happens to be mine.

Thanks for the replies....just having a wee bit of fun there with my "editing" tongue.gif

But yeah.......if there is in the least the potential for problems to be caused i'd much rather do without or use one of the options suggested.

Thank you again.
