I've tried and been happy to rip CD's with CDex. But I wanted to see if their was any improvement with the EAC / Lame method. Everything works OK but for tagging.
When I press Alt G for tagging I get the prompt saying there is a server error. I am on Broadband and although no extra info was required using CDex I have entered proxy server info on EAC to no avail. Do the two tagging methods get their info from different sources, if so can I change EAC to get tagging from the source I am successful with CDex, or could I be missing some info input in EAC, or is this a known problem?

There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to get the album info's from the freedb database.

Do you have a firewall and have you allowed EAC full access?

Where are you based? Maybe someone can recommend some servers specific for your location.
