Thanks

I have found out that the motherboard is a PC Chips M727. [edit - Sorry incorrect motherboard, it is the M741LMRT with SiS 620 Chipset]

I need to find drivers for the PCI and for the USB. Anyone know where I can get them from???
JEN

Motherboard Chipset is - SiS 620

I can't seem to find the following drivers:

Have you tried the company's site? http://www.pcchips.com.tw/
(I can't test it because the links doesn't seem to work with my browser - mozilla 1.5)

EDIT: Hm... I was too late.

Thanks, I downloaded the drivers which were for windows 98. However, when I open up the readme file, it says windows 95???

Hi Jen, in regards to MB drivers, the 95 and 98 versions should be the same.

And not meaning to rain on your parade, but unfortunately, PCChips is considered one of the worst MB manufacturers out there. They are the ones that got caught selling MB's with blank plastic chips in the cache memory sockets to make it appear like they had more memory than they did. PCchips called them "place-holders". laugh.gif

I found this out 'cause I have one also, in my boys computer. Its not a real big deal however. No need for alarm, but it would be my first "upgrade" item. wink.gif
