Losing a close pet is never pleasant (happened to me last in 1998 -- lost two cats that year, one 18 and one nearly 20 years old).

8 cats though ??? My hands are full with one... rolleyes.gif Maybe it would be less depressing with 7 still around, rather than losing the only one you have.

How true.

Many years ago we had to put down a wonderful fella named 'Frisco'. Had a blood clot block an artery and paralyze him.

One of the worst days I can remember.

Yep, that can be hell. My cat has heart disease (feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) as of early this year and was given a prognosis of "fair." Luckily she's doing well at the moment and happily takes medications ground up in her food, or I'd be going through hell every 12 hours trying to get it down her throat... rolleyes.gif

P.S. say hello... smile.gif

I still miss my cat now that she has be gone for 15 years - i think that must say something about some people's devotion for their animals.
In buddist philisophy there is a belief that death is necessary for re-birth for all things including one's feelings.
