Ok here are high color, reduced shine to unobstruct text, with three different headphones, and a little liquidy effect:

I like the watery theme of this one, too.

There's lots of good logos, so maybe there should be more than one winner, but switching every day like Mac suggested would be overkill IMO. Once a month couldn't hurt though

This one just became my favorite. The liquid effect is incredible! I like that model of Senns, too (same shape as my HD-590's, but different finish).

I'd like it even more if the "HYDROGENAUDIO" text was sharp and not so blurry. I don't know, just my opinion..

New concept:

So far, I vote for mint's logo and tumu's original. But that's because I'm quite a minimalist.
I think that, just besides the colors, they also match the image theme used for all the forum interface buttons, etc... Like all the lil plastic-ish "new post" images and such.
I think that, between the two, I'd have to go with mint's though, because it seems a bit classier. =P

I like this way better than all the headphone ones.

There seems to be lots of very nice logos appearing. It's obvious that it will be very difficult to choose only one logo, so we will choose several logos which will be rotated (not decided yet how many, but imo not much more than 3, maybe 5 max).
So keep the logos coming!

But I think we will still choose a specific winner and 2nd and 3rd place etc, which will then appear in rotation.

Also, since armeck is obviously the most prolific logo creator, I created a page only for him, to save bandwidth.

As far as the general concept and color scheme goes, I'm definitely struck by tumu's first one:



This could use some more polishing (more obvious text, and a little resizing like dev0 suggested), but other than that it looks very promising. I like the "abstractness" of it (if there is any such word).

I think this would actually fit in better with the current forum layout than any other logo posted so far, so I'd probably choose this one. (tumu's is extremely close, though )

I also very much like tumu's. Shame the Hydrogenaudio text isn't a more prominent feature.

The text in tumu's logo is too small IMO. Besides armeck's various incarnations, I like Niknak's 2nd edit and Larppa's second...great emphasis on the txt

Version 2.1, changed the color of "audio" to a bit lighter blue and changed the other font, please tell me which one is better, this or the one used before, so I know which one I should keep on developing

I hate you! I've spent > 1 hour creating mine - and yours looks better (at least to me - Probably there are some people here arround who would prefer these headphones over 'Rebecca" ).

The lighter blue looks good. The text is a hard decision, both are great, but I think I prefer the handwriting font.

Maybe some kind of emblem or symbol for this beloved forum would be nice.

Here's what I made of this idea. I know it looks crummy, but if you like the idea of a symbol I'll work on a hopefully better one.

Ignore the image size for now, it's quite easy to shrink the dimensions to match the rules of the compo.

The girl in the picture is Rebecka Månstråle Liljeberg - May 13th,1981 Turinge Sweden, an actress who started at age of 7 in 'Op: 7' on SVT. Her latest movie is Bear's Kiss (2001). She also beated Titanic in 1998 in the Box Office in Sweden with the movie 'Fucking Amal' know as 'Show me Love'.

The picture is a frame from the movie Där Regnbågen Slutar (1999) by Richard Hobert. I tweaked the picture in size, depth and props.

Rebecka is interested in computers, and was slightly involved in the small computer company Knorca, with some friends. She uses both normal PCs and Macintosh, and has stated that Windows is a challenge because it never works. She knows programming (for instance C++), but she'd like to learn more about UNIX/ Linux. She had more time for that earlier. Her favorite game is Zelda 64 on Nintendo 64, or at least it was in 1998. Now she doesn't play much video games anymore, but rather board games like Talisman.

Thanks for the info raf. I made the logo by editing your little jpeg. I had to remove the text and if you zoom in you can see the jpeg artifacts. If its popular I'll redo it from the larger source so it'll be better quality.

And if it is chosen we should ask permission to use it! An avatar picture is fair enough but using her for a logo for the whole site without permission is a bit cheeky!

But there have been so many outstanding entries I'd be surprised it won.
