I think that A-B repeat built-in function would be the great idea. It's very useful, and it's not present in Winamp.

Well, CD players and tape decks used to have such option: user marks selection start ( A ) and selection end ( B ) and is able to play everything between A and B in loop (start from A, play until B, rewind to A etc.). And of course A and B can be placed anywhere in the middle of the track.
You could use foobar's tabbed playlists function to do this.
Select whatever you want in your main playlist, right click-->send to playlist-->whatever name you want.
And you have a new playlist with your A-B selection, then you can select to play it sequentially, repeated or random.
This does it for me...

I'm afraid you don't understand A-B repeat. A-B repeat is used to loop a section of a track over and over again. i.e. to repeat the section of music between 2:32 & 3:14 in a single track.

Yes. I'm talking exactly about that. It's very, very useful feature, so please buid it in in the new version.
There was a 3rd party plugin called "RepeatSelections v0.15 for foobar2000 v6.0" but it was only for v0.6 and it won't work with 0.7.

I'm going to upgrade it.
I've not written such plugin for a long time(about 6 months), the sdk FOR 0.6 is a little deferent from the 0.7
And I never tested it for CDs. only tested for mp3 files.

great! I wish support for mp3/mpc/ogg/wav only, CD-A is not neccecary.
Hi.
I am using foobar 0.8.3. Is there actually a possibility, to select a part of a TRACK and then to repeat this?
In the posting they talked about an "repeat selection" plugin. I did not find it. Does it exist (where and for which foobar version)?
