Okay I still don't know the preferred method to eliminate clipping, or is it more a personal preference??
What I do right now is rip with EAC, encode with RazorLame, and then attenuate with MP3Gain.
However I notice that the MAD WinAmp Plugin can do that also. What are your thoughts about using that as a clipping prevention technique?
Also, what is WavGain, is that a MP3Gain for wavs, so to say??
I guess I want to know if I'm going about this right, and is there any better way to prevent clipping?

Is it better to wavGain first, then encode, or mp3Gain after encoding? I thought I read it doesn't matter, but I wanted to ask anyway, just to make sure...
Anybody?? Please??
So am i going about this right or is there another method?

mp3Gain after encoding is better. (wavgain first will lose resolution)
