Bloating the Windows registry is no improvement. biggrin.gif
Peter
fixing idiotic string length limits and problems with quotation marks / trailing spaces in config fields IS an improvement tongue.gif
note that the in_vorbis.dll file is constantly updated; looks like there has been one major change since this got posted.

- HACK - unicode filenames partially supported (may or may not work)

Ohhh.... that's sweet
Peter
this idea just hit me a few minutes ago, when translating unicode to multibyte, untranslatable characters are replaced with question marks (so data loss occurs and original filename can't be restored), but you can pass broken filename to FindFile() stuff and try to find a file that matches what you got. as lame as hell, but works at all (probably unicode directory names will break it, i need to work on it more). this will hopefully appear in v2.8 in_mp3 too.

Is this a plugin for WinAmp 2.xx, or 3?

new major update, if you have any problems to report, do it ASAP, i want to put new in_vorbis.dll in incoming wa2update. i'd love to hear some feedback about the (very experimental) unicode filename support.

Maybe this is a bit late, but I think I might find a bug.

If you deleted something under the others box(or it is called the special fields) other than the tags used by replaygain, after you click on update, winamp will crash. For example I have track= and year= under the other box right after the replay gain tags, if I deleted any of that, it will crash.

I am using Xiphophorus libVorbis I 20011217
in_Vorbis v1.2 b2
also tried v1.2 b3 didn't work either
winXP winamp 2.76

And the other thing, not a bug, but a disappeared feature. Before in_Vorbis v1.2, I can select mult-ogg files, update the tag info, and then it will jump to the next one. Now once you click on update, it will stop there, which means if I want to update multiple info, I have to do them one by one.

Can anyone else produce the same bug?

UPDATE: The problem only occur when Hide Special fields is unchecked.

UPDATE2: I uploaded a small clip 17.3kb that has the error that I described. It can be download from here

link taken off, problem fixed.
Peter
blargh, i hope i'll be able to put fixed version into updated winamp v2.80 setup. it's fixed, get it from the usual locations.
kxy
Nice Job PP.

What about the other thing that I mentioned, it is possible?

not sure what's that, there's "new" v2.80 coming tomorrow, i need to ensure max stability, minor glitchfixes / new features will come later.
what the hell is going on ? if there are THAT big problems there like almost completely broken "delete" button, what is the rest of you people doing all time ?
kxy
No, no, it is not a new feature request. It is a disappeared feature to put it nicely, it can be a bug. What I am saying is that it used to work with the old in_vorbis plugin, but it doesn't work any more.

And it can be a big problem, because if one wants to update multiple tags, they have to do them one by one!
Peter
look, this will be probably fixed really soon, i just don't want to mess with anything that isn't a major bug (crash or something similar) until tomorrow.
kxy
understood
Peter
get new setup, should be fine now. did anyone bother with testing chained stream support ?
