this is a rather odd issue that i am going to do my best to explain. i have noticed that when my cable goes down, as my connections in various programs are dropping, foobar's playback freezes intermittently.

i am running 0.7.2 with no plugins installed, playing mp3 files (--alt-preset standard) and the programs whose connections are dropping are soulseek, securecrt, mozilla firebird, and aim. the blame may very well fall on one of those programs locking up some part of the system when the connection drops or begins to time out.

i would like to know if anyone else has seen anything like this? the issue is not at all major, but if it is indeed a bug in foobar, i want to help get it recognized! thanks.

Sadly this is still happening. sad.gif

Not only does foobar freeze up but it causes windows to complelete freeze up as foobar uses 100% cpu and so bad that you can not even mange to open task manger to kill it. Only option is to reboot pc.

And it seems random. sad.gif

And even worst no log files are created and nothing in windows event viewer. So have no idea whats causing it now. sad.gif

Started from strach with no extra plugins or anything and still happens so I know its not a plugin.

Its just when the internet dies it cant connect to the server and freezes up. But there internet some time only dies for like 1sec and it still happens. sad.gif

Or if I'm running lot of internet appz and using a lot of cpu and bandwidth it seems to happen more offten. But it DOES happen when nothing else is running, nothing, just foobar. sad.gif
