In my school every student has account in the network that is very very limited. I want to use Mozilla Firebird at computer school, but I have to set it's proxy since direct connection is not working. The problem is, I can't see the proxy setting in IE because it's hidden by administrator... Is there any way to see what's the proxy IP address without installing new software?

Use the
netstat command in Windows.
Load a page with IE. When it's loading enter this command in a command prompt window.
netstat -n
example:
CODE
C:\>netstat -n
Active Connections
Proto Local Address Foreign Address State
TCP pcName:1052 x.x.x.x:80 ESTABLISHED
x.x.x.x should be the IP of your proxy.

Good idea. But if I'm not mistaken, this command is not possible in school account. Because IPconfig also not possible. I can't check it now... it's weekend, but I'll try it on monday.
Thank You shearerkazaa.

Unfortunately netstat is not possible in my schools computer. It gave error message "Access is denied". Open port in raw mode also not possible... is there still a way?

Find a copy of netstat.exe off another computer with the same version of Windows (or download one...I've had success with that in the past). I had to get a copy of the "net" command to use Messenger, hehehe.
