Didn't find anything in search on this, hence my post.
Using FB2K 0.7.3a. I have encountered strange (unwanted ?) behaviour when seeking forward in MP3, MPC and WAV files. When a file is being played and I press and hold a key assigned to seeking forward 5 seconds, time position displayed in the standard status bar can display current song time greater than total song time. As long as one keeps seeking it overseeks past the end of song.
Releasing the seek button jumps correctly to next song.
When paused, releasing the seek button stops the incrementing of current time, but it stays on eg. '17:45 / 10:13'. You can continue to seek backwards or forward then.
Gross overseeking does not happen when seeking in the last file in playlist when during play, although for a blink of an eye I can see sth like '8:05 / 7:59'. In the end however, status bar says 'Stopped' just like it should. Again, one can overseek the even the last file in playlist when it's paused.

Weird.
I reproduced it with all the mp3s I tested, but not with all the mpcs. It happens with the 10-second seek ahead too. The problem diminishes as the seek interval increases, but not completely. 0.7.3a.
are your mp3s vbr?
i have the problem in winamp before(but it is because of the vbr's demage head).
i can't reproduce it now!!!

Happens with both CBR and VBR MP3's. Tried with difrent MP3 codecs - still the same.
The same problem, as I noticed, is with tracker modules; namely, loops aren't detected, I think.
i still can't reproduce!
can you tell the exactly steps?

I think your problem is different from the original poster's.
If you want your module files to loop, you have to set it in Preferences.
If the option is already on, then I guess such files will not loop under seek, and only under normal playback.

@jako
1. make any playlist consisting of MP3's
2. play non-last file
3. press and hold rightarrow (standard shortcut for seeking forward)
4. observe the time displayed in the status bar (default one)
Following this pattern, on my PC I get the same every time (T1 / T2 where T1>T2).
WinXP PRO SP1, FB2K 0.7.3a normal installer, all DSPs disabled.

Most of the module file formats support 'partial loop', and this feature is what I meant. I.e., let's take some module with 1:00 of music and next part repeated with the feature, say, 3 times 0:30. Then total module timing would really be 1:00+3*00:30=2:30. I suppose that due to a bug foobar tells us the module is 1:30 long. So it might be partly plug-in's fault, but partly seeking/scanning feat of the 0.7.3 engine.
Thanks.
