hi, is there a possibility to upgrade the standart dsp eq?

maibe we can add some extra bars(like lower than 50-100hz)

Is this possible to do?

Why would you need something like that? smile.gif

It's not kick, it's bump. But whichever's easier for you.

Don't frequencies below 50 Hz correspond to that of some buildings? If you EQ them up too much you may cause your building to collapse.

On a more serious note, I always thought EQs functioned by raising the frequencies around the particular frequency bar you are dragging up along with the prime frequency that bar is intended for.

I've recently done a few tests with fb2ks equalizer (and Cool Edit spectral analysis). It seems like the transition width between to bands is ~ 20 Hz (for 20dB difference between bands IIRC), no matter what band.
IIRC the 55 Hz band looked like this: 0-55Hz constant (100%), 55-75Hz transition to 0% (simplified).

If an additional "39 Hz" band was added, this would happen:

39Hz band: 0-36Hz = 100%, 36-56Hz = transition
55Hz band: 36-56Hz = 0-100% transition, 55-75Hz = 100-0% transition blink.gif
=> the 55 Hz band wouldn't reach 100%.

Bands lower than 55Hz would overlap too much = quite pointless. To get steeper transition (= lower transition with), longer filter windows would be necessary = (much) more processing power needed, problems like pre-ringing increased.

BTW: You can always use convolution (impulse response) to "copy" any equalizer with any settings you like to be used with fb2k (Garf's convolution DSP).
