Hi,
I have an MP3 of a whole album, which was encoded using LAME 3.93. The MP3 is VBR. I also have a cue sheet for the MP3, and I would like to split the MP3 into separate tracks using the cue sheet.
I have used mp3DirectCut for this, and it seems to do the job well until I go to play the MP3s. In Winamp, I can't seek properly in the new MP3s. For example, if I jump to just a few seconds before the end of an MP3, it keeps playing even after the seekbar has reached 100%.
I know that this is because of the files being VBR. Is there a program that can fix the VBR headers or something on the cut files?
I've tried MP3Trim (it shows the endings as being "abrupt", but it doesn't fix the files).
Thanks.

had this problem also before, solution: i used musiccutter to cut the mp3image in separtely mp3's, then opened they each in musictrim and i saved.
very good to fix the vbr information. the only problem, in the demo musictrim you can only open mp3 smaller than 5min i think

Yes.
Ironically, it is called
VbrFix.

But, sad enoung, Encspot will not recognize the encoder properly. Ther is still a LAME-Header but only with some information. Encspot will guess Gogo (after 3.0). But Winamp will work correctly after that.

VBRFix done the job. As you say, EncSpot says they're Gogo (after 3.0), and even says that one is Xing (new), but seeking works in Winamp now.
Thanks for the help.
