im looking for a similar tool like "mp3 directcut" problem is that if u edit a VBR mp3 file the timing datas dont fit the real time on playback (i also tryed already fix that with vbrfix but wont work)

My problem is i need sync 2 mp3 files and was trying it using mp3 direct cut but 1 file is CBR and other is VBR and if i seek around for some good sync spots i just notice that the time informations in the vbr file are total useless.

Example: im going to seek pos "10sec" in the seekbar of mp3directcut and if i play the file real the time it needs to reach that spot is not 10sec its 20 or 30sec ...seems depending on the VBR rate.

Since i need edit big mp3 files i cant load them in normal wave editors since it takes to long and to much ram to convert and reencode..

So is there any other tool with a visual window to directly cut MP3 files without reencode and propper times to sync and compare mp3 files?

For files with bad header try "Fix MP3 header..." option in foobar.

yeah i also need an app that can fix vbr mp3 headers ... but foobar makes if very bad ... it just cuts able to play after wrong play lenght in wrong header
any helps ?

Cutting with mp3DirectCut then running the result through VBRFix, maybe...???

Edit: Sorry, missed that you allready had tried and failed with VBRFix, so disregard this post.

mp3trim might be able to help you too.

IMO Mp3-Tag Studio fixes vbr headers quite well, beside being my favorite (although not perfect) tagger/renamer.

EDIT: And, as this was the topic of the thread, it also can trim MP3, but I very much dislike the interface for doing that.
