Hello,

what about the functionality of discover offset between encoder and decoder, it doesnt work in my EAC when everything else goes fine with encoding.
dev0
No need to, since Vorbis is gapless. The decoder offset options are only ment for MP3 decoders.

Since I don't want to make an extra topic for this question, could you tell me the offset of the LAME MP3 encoder 3.90.3?

AFAIK lame determines its offset automatically when using lame --decode on lame encoded files. I remember reading more specific information at ff123.net, but I can't give you the link right now.

This still won't give you 100% gapless playback though (like foobar2000 does).

So, does that mean I don't have to enter anything in EAC's "Sample Offset" field ("Compression Options")?
dev0
Not when using lame --decode.
madplay would require you to know its offset and enter it.
Sebastian Mares
I am using foobar2000.
