The ACM is included with the 3.93.1 and 3.94alpha compiles. It does not compile cleanly on 3.90.2/3.
In reality, the 3.92 compile (ICL 4.5) at Rarewares is, IIRC, pretty much identical to 3.90.2, ie., it differs from 3.90.3 in that the '-Z' switch has not been added to the alt presets.
The TODO with the 3.93.1 release points out:
- known bug : when recording, converting, and recording a lame_close() call fail
- add the preset modes (and alt-preset too) in the config
- allow decompression the same way as in the command-line
- allow VBR mode
- allow channel resampling (mono to stereo / stereo to mono)
- allow internal resampling (difference in the format suggestion)
- use global pointers for string
- use the bitrate/freq tables from LAME
/ add the decoding engine
so you cannot use the ACM in -alt-preset standard mode and, other posts here suggest that you don't get access to the latest psychic model (whatever that is!).
