Foo should [optionally] always scroll playlist to show currently played song.
Now it only does it when 'follow cursor' is enabled. But that option has 'side effect' when selection changes the selected song is played, not the one that would normally play.

'following' should work independently of cursor position. so it would be possible to fiddle around with playlist without disturbing playing order.

Not quite what you're asking for, but did you know double-clicking the statusbar will highlight currently playing song?

Hmh probably only remotely related to the topic, but it has to do with cursor behiaviour.

Personally I would love an option to automatically highlight the playing song when bringing up Foobar from it's minimized state.

I also understand where you're coming from in your suggestion. Only problem I might see with it is that when one would switch off "follow cursor", for the reason of doing some playlist or tag editing, the playlist could jump around unwanted.

So that feature would be good to have, but should definately be able to be switched off, just like follow cursor.

I should probably delete it since there's much more comprehensive plugin that does simliar job: foo_scroll.

A bit too comprehensive don't you think? I gave up on that when i stopped using it - it uses way too many menu items anyway and i think half of them are useless to normal people. Oh well maybe i'll sort it out one day..

Is there any way to make it autofocus+hightlight when foobar is minimized?

HI !

double-clicking the statusbar brings up the song currently playing, nice. But does not work if the song is in an other playlist. Is it possible to change this behavior so foobar changes the playlist if needed ?

I don't think this would be currently possible.

Multiple playlist implementiation works in such a way that Foobar is only aware of the currently loaded playlist. Switching tabs basically loads a new playlist and forgets about the current one.

In case this would ever work it would be quite a nice feature though.

this was already discussed. it is better to keep the discussion in one thread, rather than two (if its going to continue).
