I use Musicmatch jukebox (for my sins).
Am I only able to listen to .ape files using WinAmp?
I am really comfortable with MMJB's format and I'd love it if there was a patch available for this player. If there is none available what are your recommendations other than WinAmp?

Have you tried Foobar2000 its a very good player. It looks terrible though... HOWEVER go to the foobar forums and you will find out some customizations to make it look very good. With foobar you can play almost anything in this world and have player nearly completly customized to your taste. good luck
The only negative that i must give it is that it doesn't diplay album picture but i am sure that will soon be remidied

I believe only WinAmp 2 and Foobar2000 have Monkey's Audio decoding plugins.
Personally, I'd switch from MMJB. There are several audio formats which it simply doesn't support, via plugin or natively.

The ape plugin works nicely with the new Winamp5 - much slicker and they did a nice job integrating the media library. Before you give up on Winamp, give the new version a spin.
Another option is Media Jukebox...

Media Jukebox is a good alternative if you're looking for something with organizational capabilities similar to (actually much better than) MMJB. However, Media Jukebox is the
old version, the current (beta) version is Media Center 9.1. It has great .ape support since one of the developers of Media Center just also happens to be the creator/developer of Monkey's Audio.

Get RadLight APE DirectShow Filter from
here and you can play APEs in any DirectShow based player.
Why don't you give dbPowerAmp a try. It plays ape files - you have to download a codec, but that is easy to do. I think you might like the program.
