Hi,
I've noticed that foobar can not only add replaygain tags to common formats such as MP3, MPC, FLAC etc, but can also add tags to other formats like MODs, PSFs and GYMs. My two questions are:
1) How does foobar2000 store its tags in every format?
2) Is it safe (or wise) to tag more "unusual" formats such as MODs, or will this break compatibility with other players/trackers?
Thanks,
ozy
as far as i know, fb2k stores rg-info for "unusual" formats like modules only in its internal database, NOT in the files themselves - so, yes, it should be "safe".
I'm not absolutely sure, though..... so you may want to wait for someone more knowledgeable to reply here, if you want to be absolutely sure about this.

1) Modules are optionally tagged with APEv2 tags. PSF files have their own tag format.
2) I am not sure if adding APEv2 tags to modules causes problems with any module players or trackers. It should work fine as long as the software doesn't care about extra data appended to the file.
Thanks a lot for the responses! Kode54, when I said "how does foobar store it's tags", I actually mean't the replaygain tags and not the APEv2 tags. Or is replaygain part of the APEv2 standard?
