Can anyone recommend a good headphone extension cord? I am looking for something that is not too expensive? Are they ones at RadioShack good enough?

They are for me. I use the ones with the gold ends. I even used one to replace the coiled cord on my Sony V6 phones. Cut the end off and got out the soldering iron.

Depends what's too expensive. Grado makes a very nice 15' extension for $35-$40.
I was thinking about <$50 CND. Can anyone recommend a model?
indybrett: What is the model number of yours?

If you're interested in the Grado, $39 CND
here. BTW, which jacks do you need?

extension cords are $5 for 15' at radio shack.
I need a 1/8"(3.5mm) jack to 1/8" (3.5mm) plug.

I'd go for the radioshack one... No need to pay $30 extra for an extension...

I bought the RadioShack ones for like 3 dollars today. The only problem is that it SUCKS! I can only hear out of one ear when the extension is used. Any other recommendations (it must be 1/8" to 1/8")?

I have a RadioShack extension cord for my Grado SR 80s and it works fine. Are you positive you have the minijack fully connected? That might cause the problem you're having. Just get it replaced if the cable is bad for some reason. I wouldn't pay $40 for a cable...

yeah, either it's not plugged in all the way or you accidentally picked up a mono extension

My vote says that you got the mono version.

It was a mono extension. I replaced it yesterday. Thanks!

Ah...mono extension cable. I didn't even think about that. These forums rock!
