Has anyone used this piece of hardware? A while back I imagined something like this n thought it'd be a great idea, and it's now actually been made! If anyone's used it, I'd love to hear some opinions!

looks like good fun! i think the key here is latency on the controls, does anyone know how well this performs over usb? no good cutting tunes if you're missing the beat wink.gif

there are quite a few controllers like this about - the numark dmc1 and the eks xp10 (which looks very nice but very expensive when you consider that you need two) - im sure there are many others about also

possibly the most exciting system of this kind is final scratch - a very clever idea implemented very well. although this is obviously not intended to serve as a general purpose soundcard, it does allow you to mix any audio on your pc on real decks very nicely. if anyone doubts the quality of this product try it for yourself or head over to dnb arena and look in their dnbtv section for an amazing video of craze using the system

I'm looking at one of these Hercules things too. All the reviews i've read have not mentioned anything bad about the latency, but i'd still like to know definitively if this is a problem though.

And why hasn't someone emulated / reverse engineered Final Scratch yet?
