Even if as I wrote these lines the official site is not yet updated,
it seems the final version is already spreading among several french news websites (Clubic, WinampFR, Touslesdrivers ...) I have no clue what changed yet.

Edit1: Deleted Bad Links See Below For Better Links
(Bidz & Amano links=14Dec Build but WaldoMonster link=12Dec Build)

Edit2: Beware the register poping up window might leave you with a very strange feeling huh.gif

No it is NOT the final FINAL! The latest "Final" available to the Beta testers was compiled on 14th of Dec. The sprading "Final" was compiled on 12th of Dec.

If the "About" screen says Dec 12, it's out of date/not the official final.
It should say Dec 14.
bidz
http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/client...inamp50_pro.exe

That one has build-date: 14th December (install .exe is also 0.2mb bigger than the other one with build date 12th December).

It asks for registration info upon first application start. Press Cancel, and it it doesn't ask for it again, and it functions as a "normal" version.
amano
yup.

On betanews is the dec 14th build!

Is it just me, or are all these links now broken?
OggZealot
Bidz's link is now broken here too but the Amano's link is still working.

If you really can't dl it try this link, it's one of the french links I deleted as it was linked to the 12Dec Build but the site updated the link to the 14Dec build so it should be the good version now:

Can you install this and keep v2.xx installed too?
Alanity
Why would you want to? You can use the classic skin and it'll be exactly the same as 2.xx just with added er, cool stuff. smile.gif

According to the guys at Winamp Forums, the real final version is the one compiled on Dec 14th. So check "Nullsoft Winamp..." on Winamp to see which date it was compiled. The Nullsoft Installer for the final version was compiled on Dec 16th by 12AM.

They said some people downloaded a "final" version from their official website compiled on Dec 12th. There has been some final ajustments (I don't know which) from these two builds. wink.gif
