I want to take an entire album and rip it to a single OGG file using either Vorbis or FLAC compression. I need each track to be treated independently within the player (Foobar2000) for both tagging and seeking. I also want to be able to put album-specific tags on the file and not have the tag repeated in every track (cover-art).
I searched HA and Google. I learned that it *can* be done, but no one really said *how*. I know I can copy the files, appending them into a single file, but that's not a true OGG container. I also know that I could just zip everything together, but again, not a true OGG container.
So, if OGG is a container that can hold multiple tracks as well as other media (JPG), *how* do I put it all together?

Do a search on .cue sheets/files and see if that doesn't help you out there. As for cover art, although it is technically possible, I don't think anyone has written a program that lets you put cover art INTO an Ogg (likewise, I don't know any player that can extract and display cover art from an Ogg).

That sounds great if you can figure out how to do it. I don't believe there is a player that will display the cover art from an OGG container, though.

Well, I looked around. I saw something brief on how to do it, but it didn't work. The file loaded in Foobar2000 and I could see the individual tracks, but I couldn't tag the tracks with title info. So... still no jive.
As for having a media player that's capable of displaying the pic... well, there's not one *yet*. This is more for my organizational anal-ness for now. I'll let the software grow into what I have.
