I'm not really sure if this option is already somewhere under foobar options (even with a plugin), but i still haven't found it yet, so i'm suggesting its implementation.
Problems and solutions (depending on the play method and playlists)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Random ( play order ) doesnt seem "toss out" the played songs inside one playlist, so they can be played again, if the repeat "hits" them.
Solution: On and Off function per playlist. Playlist should contain 2 "folders". 1. Items to be played, 2. Items already played, so the random won't be able to play already played songs. The option can be reset (manually or automatically, after all the items have been played), or manipulated manually (drag&drop)
- Normal or Repeat ( play order ) Playlist A is playing. When the playlist B is played, it "forgets" the number of the song where it stopped playing in playlist A. When i play the playlist A again, it starts from the beginning.
Solution: On and Off function. Playlist "remembers" the last played item for each playlist, so it starts playing where it stoped last time that playlist was opened.
- Playlist Tabs also have the same problem. All tabs remember the positions where they stopped on each playlist when changing inbetween tabs, but when i reset the program, all the playlists start playing the song #1.
Solution: Each playlist tab memorizes the song # it played last.
And another suggestion:
- On and off option: Automatic play on the tab change.
Ie: I have tab A playing. I click on the tab B and it automatically starts playing.
If this already exists somewhere, i'd be more than happy to know
Greetz!
