Hi there. I'm after new DLLs for CDex at the moment, and I've found this page which has links for LibVorbis 1.0.1 DLLs and GT3b1 DLLs based on LibVorbis 1.0.

Which would you guys recommend? A newer set of official DLLs or a a slightly older version with GT3b1 enhancements?

I will be using -q 5.

Hmmm, the V1.0.1 ones are OK. I've just recompiled and uploaded the GT3b1 ones having checked they're OK first!!

Oh right this is your site?

Do I just replace the DLLs in my cdex folder? I'm using CDex 1.51, latest release, and I got an illegal operation with both of them.

Yes, just overwrite the existing dlls. I just tested them here against CDex1.51 and they all, 1.0.1 and GT3b1, ran perfectly OK. They also run against 1.60beta.

What's the difference between

Oggenc2.3 using GT3b1 based on LibVorbis v1.0 2003-11-20
and
Oggenc2.3d using GT3b1 based on LibVorbis v1.0 and v1.0.1

GT3b1 libs are based on libvorbis v1.0.

2.3 uses GT3b1 libs for all encoding.

2.3d uses GT3b1 libs for encoding at quality levels above 4.00 and bitrate settings above 128. Below these settings it uses libvorbis v1.0.1.
