What profile works best with EAC? I'm trying to encode using MPC with the setting --braindead --ans 0 -ms 0 --nmt 32 --tmn 40. Yeah, yeah I know overkill but, I am curious non the less what the quality would be but, I'm having difficulty doing so. The external encoder doesn't appear to work and, I'm sure that I must not be doing something correctly. Would someone please be kind enough to tell me how to do this. Thanks Jeff

The following External Compression "command line options" work for me when the "High quality" radio button is chosen:

%l--etc%l%h--braindead --ans 0 --ms 0 --nmt 32 --tmn 40%h %s

Other than that, make the "file extension" .mpc, and check the locations of mppenc.exe and your output directory.

BTW, The Beatles' "Her Majesty" is good for 500 kbps with your options.

Thankyou! It worked smile.gif. Got another quick question to ask atleast I think it's quick. What is the maxium kbps that you can attain? How far can you push the envelope? Thanks Jeff

Jeff - Why push the envelope? The idea here is to compress, not expand; storage is expensive.
