First of all well done for an excellent player. It simply rulez!!

I want to use foobar2000 as part of a multimedia station I want to make in my living room. I want to use foobar2000 for the audio part of my player.

So I decided to make a UI plugin to foorbar2000 to be used in my project. I got the latest SDK (0.7.6) and took a look at the foo_ui_test. However I cannot get the plugin to compile. It gives me an error

error C2259: 'config_var_callback_autoreg<class config_var_int>' : cannot instantiate abstract class due to following members:

Secondly, are there any other UI plugin source code, which I can take a look at so I can get an idea how to do one of my own.

Change config_var_callback_autoreg to config_var_callback_simple. This was changed on SDK side some time ago but some sample projects didn't get updated.

Have you tried MyHTPC? It is software to turn your computer into a home theater computer. It has a plugin to use Foobar2000 for music. It might be the same thing you are trying to create.
