Full Version: Software Update
Hydrogenaudio Forums > Hydrogenaudio Forum > Validated News
Dibrom
The forums were down earlier today due to some much needed maintenance and software updates. Unfortunately, there were some unforeseen problems and the process took much longer than it should have. Another difficulty which we have run into is that in the update process, user avatars were lost. You will need to re-upload your avatar if you had one before :/

There may be a few remaining issues from some of the updates that still need to be ironed out, so please be patient. At least one thing which needs to be modified again is the attachment icon for the forum views. Hopefully I'll get to that tomorrow, along with some other changes.

If anyone notices any serious problems in the meantime, post to this thread.

Go to main forum index and click on Off-Topic... You will see portal, not Off-topic. Wrong link?

Reproduced, happens with all sections here.

edit: Avatar upload is problematic, too. Be patient everyone smile.gif

Minor bug 1: The user list won't highlight admins, moderators... here (Mozilla user).
Minor bug 2: I can see the warn level bar even for users whose level is 0%.

I seem to have acquired a Warn level of 0% and 5 blocks? blink.gif
kwanbis
so do i smile.gif

Are the blocks light orange or dark orange? If they are light orange, the lights are off, else, they are on. smile.gif

By the way... This would be the best opportunity to change the JavaScript function which handles the editor (you would only need to copy and paste the function I submitted). rolleyes.gif

Thank You for keeping this excellent boards up smile.gif
getID3()
(developer group only?) can't-edit-profile bug still exists:

The "click here for link to this post" feature is missing.

Flag / Location still missing:

edit: as john33 etc have said, I also have a visible warn level of 0% - another developer-only bug? I don't know about the other developers, but I can only see the warn level for myself, not for anyone else.

No developer-only bug, I have the same "problem" tongue.gif

It has been this way for quite some time now... smile.gif

Maybe this is intentional. I see it as nobody's biz except for the user and the forum staff.

I always had the warn 0% and it is still there. (I always thought it is indicate that new members should be extra careful when their speak their minds.) However now I have the same problem as John33 had, that is, I have 5 bars next to warn (0%). I am not complaining, just thought Dibrom might want to know.
Dibrom
Those 5 bars just represent capacity. As you'll notice, they are faded out. When you have a read warning, they become highlighted.
rompel
The "Last Action" column doesn't show the date, only the time. Probably OK on the portal, but not on the individual forums.

Another reminder for everyone to upload your avatar again if you see the ominous red X. It can also be a good idea to enter the avatar dimensions manually, to avoid scaling in some cases.

Current limits for avatars are 100x100 and 8 KB.
Dibrom
I think most of the issues have been fixed now. Things should for the most part be back to the way they were except for the avatars and attachments.

My old avatar won't load. It's 12kb.

Maybe you can get the size down using png and optimization?

Is this a warning to members about their bad behaviour when posting?

I see that everyone posting in this thread who has had the warn 0% problem have somehow had the problem resolved for their accounts. Is this a good place to post a message about the problem?
