At first I added "Dibrom ?" to subject... but I removed this because I never heard about name "Darin" and I thought... maybe it is female name? So Dibrom...

"Darin" is a not-uncommon male name in the US. But not very common either.
I've definitely never heard of a woman named "Darin", though.

So it isn't a not not-uncommon name? Yet it isn't not-uncommon?
Uber negative statement!

Sorry. I was feeling pessimistic that day.
On a better day, I'd say it's a name that's "neither very rare nor very common". (Hmmm...still negative...) OK, it's a name that's "unique and manly". How's that?
I've known one Darin in my life, a friend I grew up with. And he wasn't a girl.
