Sorry for the likely silly question, but I want to verify the Nero AAC encoder is a commercial product only? Just want to make sure the encoder component (as oppose to burning software) isn't available for download to use with EAC, etc.

Yes, Nero AAC encoder only comes bundled with other Nero products. As the other products are commercial, also the AAC encoder is.

nencode.exe is only a front-end wich makes the nero encoder work with EAC, before you can use it you have first to purchase the encoder.

The Nero AAC encoder is included with the Nero demo that's available for download. But like Nero it only works for 30 days, unless you register it.
