Using --preset standard in EAC with LAME 3.95a to Encode Tom Waits, "Big in Japan" off Mule Variations I get a larger file for the DLL encoded version than I get for the EXE coded version.
6,699,743 bytes versus 6,669,775 bytes
Why is this? Should one expect this behaviour?
Is the EXE compressing better or is the DLL padding the file somehow? Hmmmm.
Oh speak wise ones! Which should I use?
Love,
Fairy
If there is no detectable sonic difference they are for all intents and purposes the same, other than a 32 byte difference in file size. Have you ABX'ed the two files to hear any difference?

Both are compiled with same compiler?

1. 30K difference
2. I think so, they are John's from Rarewarez. Intel compiler.
I know it's not a huge difference but it is significant, the problem is significant of what?
