It's tit for tat - it'll always be that way, when there's us HA guys who know what we're doing, and them, the Xing-Xealots who swear by thier flakey encoding.
I've never liked Xing, most of their software has been rushed out the door. All of thier mp3 encoders were not good, and their Mpeg-1/VCD encoders were awful. I seem to remember an older version only doing key frames (which very badly affects quality).
Xing assume that once an ISO compliant bitstream is created thier job is done. Thank god for the movement of mp3/DivX constantly working on increasing quality!
