Interesting article about IBM and RealNetworks joining up to take on Microsoft in the audio compression and audio format battle:

Looks like they want to make Real's new DRM based format everywhere...

Wonder if they will be running Linux on those DRM servers? (Surely not Windows) laugh.gif

Hmm... IBM is usually concerned about standards compliancy. Hopefully they will adapt this DRM standard to the MP4 container and everybody will be happy :B

Well, in my opinion it's better than using the Real container.

If we have to live with DRM, at least make sure it's implemented in the right place.
