Hi,
I have a DVD player connected to TV in rest-room. I'm not interested in big A/V Receivers, but in order to get 5.1/DTS sound I would like to connect S/PDIF out from DVD to a Sound Blaster® Audigy® 2 NX or similar... and use autoamplified speakers: Is it possible? Does this SB need to be connected to a PC?

Any other possibility?
