Full Version: Is lame 3.95 (stable version) really gapless?

I've seen that lame 3.94 alpha & beta and 3.95 alpha weren't as gapless as their predecessors (3.93.1 - 3.92 - 3.90). Is lame 3.95 stable really gapless or not? I can't download it so can anybody tell me that?

No MP3 encoder can produce real gapless files because it is a limitation of the MP3 format. foobar is the only player which can play MP3 files gaplessly because it reads some information in the LAME tag. AFAIK, the --nogap option is some sort of a hack.

Since 3.95 alpha2 the frame counter works as in old versions (AFAIK).

So everything should be OK now in foobar2k.
